I've got the Painting and Embossing bug today!!

Well this afternoon I broke out my paints and embossing gun and went to town. I made 3 Dia de los Muertos inspired paintings!! Embosstastic!

This first one is a lime green calavera on a bright tomato red background. All the decoration on the skull is embossed as well as red swirls and marigolds in the background.

This one is glitter metallic mania. I'll have to say I have a slight obsession with glitter and metallic paints so I used them BOTH!! The background is black metallic with irridescent glitter paint on top. It looks beautiful in the light!! Too much you say NEVER!! I also used pearlized white for the skull and metallic paint for the designs. On top of that...yes their is more, I embossed the designs. It was really cool because as I used the embossing heat gun the metallic paint started to bubble up and created amazing texture!

This one is the first one I did, they are actually in reverse order in which I did them. This one is more realictic, a skull from profile view. The background is stained brown, black, and copper with gold glitter on top. I also embossed swirls using black and translucent powder. It looks shiney and wet. On the skull I painted various sugar skullish designs and embossed some of them!!

These beauties are all for sale on my etsy!! Check it out
